'Way, 'Way Out
The second of two records multi-instrumentalist McIntyre would record for United Artists and the his last album of the ’60s before he would disappear and reemerge 11 years later to release records for Steeplechase. Considered by many to be a less-well-known Eric Dolphy, McIntyre plays alto saxophone, flute, bass clarinet, oboe, bassoon, double bass, drum set, and piano, and numerous other wind instruments.
With the exception of a “Complete United Recordings” CD from the 2000s, this title has never been re-released.
Pretty great shape. Plays super good with a few clicks/pops throughout but nothing egregious. Cover is intact but has a rubber stamp on rear reading NR. Excellent copy of this little-known and never-re-issued LP.
