First US. Textured cover. Textured lyric sheet. Textured inner sleeve. Gatefold.
The earlier the pressing of Harvest, it seems, the rougher the texture of the cover and materials inside. Presumably Warners realized that the sandpaper-like quality of the printed goods wasn’t holding up to handling and time and they began the process of smoothing it out. It’s therefore very rare to find early or first pressings that don’t look beat to hell.
This is one of those unicorns. The record is fine — plays good with a couple faint ticks throughout due to some light marks. But the packaging looks new. Heavy texture, intact cover and inner sleeve (slight tear upper left — see photo). Amazing copy.
