Pavement Contest / Tavare Pre-Order / Record Drop / Free MUBI!

Hi Folks,
Bit of an unusual post this time ‘round, but hopefully something that appeals: Volver is having its first contest; I’m taking pre-orders for Tavare vinyl; record drop.
PAVEMENT CONTEST
So there’s a new Pavement documentary called PAVEMENTS. In order to promote its release, the wonderful streaming service Mubi has partnered up with me to offer y’all 30 days free of Mubi. You can watch whatever you wish from their offerings, including PAVEMENTS and documentaries on other artists including King Crimson, Oasis, Nils Frahm, Ryuichi Sakamoto, and more!
They've also got a huge selection of non-music films. I’ve been a member there since 2008! Some of my favourite Mubi titles currently on offer: We Need to Talk About Kevin, Bring them Down, Girl with the Needle, Crossing, Queer, and Breaking the Waves.
To sign up for your free month, go to mubi.com/volver where you'll see my favorites highlighted.
We're also giving away 5 Pavements Prize Packs consisting of a limited edition t-shirt, hat, and sticker!

Here’s how to enter:
Answer as many of these Pavement trivia questions as possible. Question one is worth 1 point. Two is worth 2. Etc. The five people who get the most points will get a swag pack! Just hit reply with your answers. Do not text them. Email them by hitting reply.
ALSO, DO IT IN ONE EMAIL. People who answer in multiple emails will be ignored.
1. What was the name of Pavement’s first full-length release? There's a clue in tonight's record drop.
2. What do pigs tend to do?
3. What does Spiral Stairs do?
4. A poet once teamed up with two members of Pavement and released some great music. What was the poet’s name?
5. What do Gertrude Atherton, William Carlos Williamson, and Derek Vane have in common?
Bonus for 1 point: Which Canadian speaks like an ordinary guy?
When you hit reply and send your answers, be sure to include your t-shirt size (L or XL only).

TAVARE PRE-ORDER
Tavare is a Berlin-based trio made up of Aidan Baker (of Nadja), Tristen Bakker, and Angela Muñoz (both of VROUW!). Aidan and Tristen are both from Toronto and Angela is from Spain. Together, they make minimal music — slow, fragmentary songs with sparse vocal lines and harmonies, evoking both a retro '90s slow-core sound and contemporary pop forms and structures.
Their first album, Too Small to Be So High, just came out in Europe and I’ll be bringing in copies for anyone who pre-orders. Cost online is £19.99 plus shipping. Through me, your price is $30 and of course you don’t have to pay shipping. I’ll also make sure you get a download code.

You can sample the album on Bandcamp.
To pre-order, just hit reply or shoot me a text. The sooner the better or you'll be too late. I believe I'll be the only shop in Canada with them.
RECORD DROP
Tonight. 7PM. Jazz and not-Jazz. The usual place.
THAT'S IT!
Thanks. Don't forget to send in your Pavement answers and get in your pre-orders.
